Profile Picture & Bio

How do I update my profile or my profile photo? 

You can update your profile from the Walker App. 

  • Tap on the main menu in the top left-hand corner of the Home Screen →
  • Tap “View Profile”→
  • Tap "Edit Profile" →
  • From here, you can update your Profile Photo, Catchphrase, About Me (bio), Address,Services, Home Info, Specialties, and images in your Gallery. 
  • Click “Save” →
  • You’re all set! Your bio has been submitted for review and you will receive a push notification when your bio has been approved. The approval process can take up to 2 weeks. 

Note: If you are unable to save your submission, make sure that you have text in all required fields and attempt to save your submission again. Your bio must also be at least 150 characters.

Bio Guidelines

Your bio should be a concise description of yourself and may not include any of the following:

  •  Personally identifiable information, including:
    • Full name
    • Home address
    • Any social media links
  • Any mention of an offer to perform services off the Wag! platform. 
  • Any inappropriate or offensive material/ content. 
  • Emojis.

You will receive a notification when your profile photo or bio has been approved or rejected.

To update your profile picture:

  • Tap on the main menu in the top left-hand corner of the Home Screen →
  • Tap “View Profile”→
  • Tap "Edit Profile" →
  • Tap the green camera icon on your photo →
  • Read the "Photo Taking Tips" and tap "I've Read It" →
  • Tap "Change Photo" and either "Take a Photo" or "Choose Existing Photo" →
  • Click “Submit Photo” →
  • You’re all set! Your photo has been submitted for review and you will receive a push notification when it's been approved. The approval process can take up to 2 weeks. 

Photo Guidelines 

Profile Photos should be a recognizable photo of yourself and may not include any of the following:

  • Obstructions to the face such as sunglasses, phones, or filters
  • People besides yourself
  • A full body shot (ideal photos will include the entire face and shoulders)
  • Poor quality lighting (grainy photos)
  • Angles (ideal photos will be shot straight on)
  • Any inappropriate or offensive material/content

You will receive a notification when your profile photo or bio has been approved or rejected.
